Watch the listings on ebay… there are almost always Winchester parts listed from the people who make a living stripping down old beat up guns.

You can also use the carrier out of a 62, 62A or 1906. They have a cartridge stop built in the nose that will allow you to use shorts, longs or long rifles. (seeing as your chamber has been recut for Long Rifles)
