Hi all,

Moved this to Gun Broker if anyone is interested.

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/775531692

Thanks,

Al

Here’s another one I’m selling. A very nice Winchester model 1894, 38-55 caliber, round barrel, crescent butt, 1/2 mag, SN 186830 (1903). Excellent shiny bore. Excellent mechanically, good case color still on hammer and lever. Nice tight action. The varnish is worn some on the forearm where carried. Letters with Cody as shown in pictures, and all original. Added: A few small dings on underside of butt stock as seen in picture, and a few small marks on the barrel.

Asking $2,900 shipped.

Please feel free to ask any questions, or if you would like additional pictures.

Thanks,

Al   412-719-1940   [email protected]

I like this rifle. If the tang sight was original to the gun would it have lettered as such? Does anyone know if it is possible that the sight is original to the gun?

Hi Steve,

I couldn’t tell you if the tang sight is original to the gun or not.  It was on it when I bought it locally here in PA. I never removed it to check for markings. I can post more close up pictures of it if you would like.

Thanks,

Al

Based on the fact that the Lyman tang sight is the No. 1A variation, it is not original to the rifle.  The No. 1A was introduced approximately 2-years after the rifle was shipped.

My goodness, Al! Your “culls” are better than my “keepers”. If I could make room for one more 94….

Thanks Mike,  I’m making room for a nice Model 1894 deluxe. Can’t afford to keep them all.
