This is the second of three rifles I will post for sale:
1873 – first model, round barrel, 44-40, serial 1,390
This rifle is my favorite from the historical perspective and the first one I purchased ~15 years ago. It has great quality all around for an early first model.
I am certainly not a pro photographer but tried to highlight each area of each rifle in natural light. I am happy to jump on a video call with anyone interested to get into further details. All rifles have their birth certificate and are above average to excellent quality. I am not qualified to rate the bluing but know it is higher end for each of the generations. The wood is excellent in quality and fit. The barrels are very clean.
A price is not listed at this point because I honestly have no idea what the market is. With your knowledge, I would appreciate an honest estimate and price that would be good for both parties if you are interested in this for your collection.
Please PM or respond to this message with any questions.
You need to retake these photos with the gun horizontal. You want to take them in the shade and change the angle of the gun or camera to avoid glare. The other 73 with the gun horizontal is better and it has a octagon barrel which has a flat side which helps. A round barrel is very hard to keep from reflecting.

I have done a bit of my own research along with advice from this forum and would like to ask $12,000. If you do not like my number, please PM me with yours. I have always believed in discounts for multiple purchases and if someone wants all three, that saves me a bit of work and I would be open to even further discounts. As I mentioned, would love these to go to a good collector home.
I will also work to get better shots in shade. I thought showing them in the light would be more accurate and I am certainly not trying to hide anything.
Early blued first models are very hard to get a picture of the blue since its darker than later guns. I take the pictures outside on a weathered wood deck which is a good background color (colored back ground reflects the color onto the gun) and with the gun horizontal take the pictures in the shade and position the gun and camera so I reduce glare. I take a series of pictures square to the gun. Here is a one of my early first models I just took that way.
