Im not very picky. Something that is period correct and folding. Iv’e been told by members that a lyman #6 leaf sight would be what winchester put on them. Im open to suggestions really. Whatever would look nice. I have a modern marbles folding sight that I took off a marlin for the time being. It works great but I dont like the look of it
Even if the sights would ship to Canada on ebay, they would cost an arm and a leg.
If you find one be careful when shipping. Gun parts going across the border have been disappearing lately. Make sure the sender puts it in a bigger box to disguise it. I think both of these are broke. It often happens that one of the leafs break off. One leaf will rotate in the center and the other will rotate on the 2 outer rings.
This one might be OK.
Chuck said See my edited post the third one might be OK. To make things more confusing these come in different heights too.
It is OK. The 1st one isn’t broken, but it’s pretty beat-up. I’d buy the one missing a leaf, if the seller would lower his price. There’s bound to be some of these floating around in Canada. Postage for shipping to Canada is always 2 or 3 times what it would cost here, & no insurance!
