OfflineThe Winchester catalogs from 1880-84 list a couple of sights that are very rarely seen on early rifles. One of these is the Winchester Reversible Sight. Here is a snip from a reprint of the April 1882 catalog. Apache said he saw one of these on an English proofed Model 1876 short rifle. I have never seen one or even a photo. Anyone else?

I call myself a collector as it sounds better than hoarder

OfflineI believe I may have seen one but didn’t realize what it was. Had no idea why the hood had a hole.
