I am trying to buy an 1886 50 ex and it has a ladder rear sight on it . Can anyone post a picture of one of these so I can verify if this rear sight is correct (it is a rifle).

It would be best if you posted good pictures of the current sight and barrel. Does the Cody letter mention sights? If the gun is original but the sight not, it’s easy to replace if you find the proper sight in the same condition.

If the gun is not original then does it matter? Maybe pictures of the entire gun are in order?
