Bizarre but valuable–saw another priced $300.  Made before Marbles bought rights to Sheard’s sights, & doesn’t appear in any Marbles catalog I have, so probably Marbles chose not to continue it.

Sheard’s Three Leaf Sight, it’s in a 1915 Marble’s catalog I have.  Maybe not in very many others like Clarence suggests.  I was happy to get one a while back.

That Hardware Retailer notice puts an approximate date on the acquisition of Sheard’s sight business by Marble’s, which I didn’t know.   I would assume the Sheard marking to mean this sight was made before Marble’s took over mfg. of them.  Two catalogs I have are 1905 & 1923, so by ’23, this sight had evidently been dropped by Marble’s, as the only open rear sight shown is the Marble’s folding single leaf.  This ’23 cat. also shows the founding date of the company–1898.

I like that sight! Looks like a salesman’s sample but the logic of the different profiles makes sense.
