I own a Model 1894 rifle in .30 WCF that was manufactured in October 1905. It has the original front and rear sporting sights and a Lyman tang peep sight that was added later. I’m searching for a dual-folding Lyman #6 sight. I’ve been watching eBay for some time, and thought I’d try this forum to see if anyone has one they’d be interested in selling. Another question I had was whether or not the dual-folding pieces are interchangeable with the different sized bases required for different gun manufacturers. I found a sight where the base is not for Winchester 1894’s, but the folding pieces are in great condition, so I wondered if swapping them on a different base was possible. Thank you!

Swapping the leaves isn’t practical, but since the 3/8″ dovetail size you need is the most common, you’ll find one before long. Contact member Ben Tolson, who probably has what you’re looking for.
