Did Rick ever find his Vernier sight?

Bruce,The sight we were discussing here was the Long Range Vernier not the Graduated Peep. Here is a picture and the price is much more than $500. The cased set is about $8,000 to $10,000 the last I knew.

Saw one for sale a couple years ago that had some missing parts and condition issues that was for sale at around $4000. The worst part was how damaged the outside of the box was. Some parts were brand new with no loss of bluing and others were worn out. I thought about this one for a long time but did not buy it.
Bob, what was in the upper left corner originally?

You would of had the spirit level / insert retainer or the flat insert retainer in that spot. I haven’t seen nothing else with any of the other box sets I have seen that would fit that spot.

Bob, that looks better. Is this box missing a couple of front sight inserts?

The box had 5 inserts but that last picture I posted was one from the internet and had 3. I went searching to see if any others had something else with them that would of fit that spot. Here are mine.
