OfflineHey guys I have a Browning 65 in 218 bee. I just acquired a Marbles tang sight for it but I am realizing that the Browning only has one screw in the tang and the new sight has 2 holes. I do not want to start drilling holes in my rifle. I was told there was no need to drill holes but I see no other way. I am not going to drill any holes.
Any suggestions??

OfflineI will give you the same advice Clarence Anderson gave me on that subject: Unless you are planning on going into combat with the rifle, degrease the tang, apply some blue Loctite to the mating surfaces and flange the sight down with the single screw. Use a high quality gunsmithing screwdriver that fits the screw slot precisely and don’t beef down on it like you wuz King Kong. A quarter turn past finger tight is plenty. Let cure overnight. Be happy.

OfflineIs the Browning 65 drilled and tapped on its left receiver wall for a micrometer receiver sight? If so, seriously consider a Redfield 70 code E. That sight fits the 92 and 94 receivers and is precise in its adjustments. I prefer it to the Lyman 56 and 66.
Whether you install a tang peep or receiver sight, you are probably going to need a higher front sight to avoid running out of downward elevation adjustment.
