Guys,
2 Questions:
Looking at a 1892, 38-40 takedown manufactured in 93. Serial # is 16,5 hundred something (don’t remember it all) It has the beech combo front sight on it, is this sight correct for the era of the rifle?
The sight is in very nice condition, minus the blueing. Given that, what is an honest ball park valuation for the sight?
TIA,
Erin
The Beach sight was used on a lot of guns and would be at home on a 92 but I would expect a tang sight to go with it. It without a tang would be odd. How much gold on the sight?

Its definitely a Beach not a Lyman? There is a price difference.

A beach has the pins in the sides for the pivot rather than screws. The base is blued and the globe is gold washed. A Beach ranges from about $100 for no finish and worn to $250 with a lot of finish.
