I’m looking at replacing the front sight on my carbine, it has a fine copper washed bead and is too fine for my eyes.
I have received a copy of an original from Homestead.
questions are what height should the new blade be and what side do I drift out to old pin .
regards

Dean I purchased the same blade sight a while back from Homestead as well for a 92 I had and I just left it as is. They know more than I do and was confident it was correct.
I always drift from left to right(looking down the barrel) when it comes to sights, even if a front blade pin. It might not matter for front pins but I practice the same procedure left to right.
