Hello
I have an 1895 Winchester Sporting Rifle in 35 Winchester. The rifle was made in 1910. The rear sight is what I would call the standard one. It is three inches long and dovetailed at the front portion of the sight. Which elevator is proper. 1-A 1-B or 1-C. Does it matter which one? What is the difference in these elevators. Thanks

Hi Jack,
According to the Winchester sight blueprints your rifle should have the 1B elevator.
The difference between the 1A, 1B and 1C elevators is the overall height (as measured from the base to the bottom of the highest notch). The 1A is .210″, 1B is .162″ and the 1C is .175″.
Hope that helps.
