I have a 1934 Winchester Model 42 with a 3inch chamber, 26 inch barrel, full choke in very good condition and would like to know what the value range would be for this gun.  Also, where would be the best place to list it for sale.

Hello John,

Without pictures it’s really hard to give you an exact valuation. It sounds like you have a standard field grade 42. For what it’s worth, I bought one a couple months ago in the same configuration. I would rate mine an 80% gun, it’s got some honest wear on the blueing high points and a bit of finish loss. I paid the seller $1,100  The seller and I were both comfortable with the price. If yours is in better condition than what I described you might want to up your price a bit. I would list it on Gunbroker, you can start it out with the minimum price you are willing to accept for it or you can start it out at a penny and hope the Winchester gods smile upon you. I would start the auction on a Friday and end it on a Sunday (10 day auction) Hope this helps a bit and best of luck with your sale.
