OfflineHello Elizabeth,
The Model 21 is unlike all other Winchester models made in that every single one of them were specially built in Winchester’s Custom shop, and in no particular order. The only way to determine when exactly it was manufactured, the as built configuration, and who it was made for, is contact the Cody Firearms Museum records office and purchase a Factory letter. The letter will authenticate the gun, and if it is correct, it will enhance the value of the gun by slightly more than the cost of the letter.
All factory original Model 21 shotguns are potentially quite valuable.
