Just made a deal to buy a WW1, US marked M1897 Trenchgun. I have not seen the gun yet. A friend is brokering the deal for me in Alabama.

These guns are really scarce with all original parts. The handguards are mostly missing or incorrect. I probably should have kept the two WW1 guns I had, but I went off in a different direction of collecting, and sold them both.   Big Larry

Larry,

Please make sure that you send me the information on it for my research survey.

I sent you a long PM on these shotguns but my computer went offline as I hit the send button. Lost in Space. I will forward pics to you as soon as I have the shotgun in hand. About 3 weeks.   Thanks, Big Larry

Since I was offered a real nice M1897 that is US marked for $2,000 and a $850 scope. I could not pass that up. I probably could make near $5000 profit if I sold it, which I am not going to do. Hey, I am old, but not a dummy.   Big Larry

Sounds like an awesome deal.   Is it as nice as the one you sold me or how about that 99% US marked WWI 1897 trench gun you once owned?

I have never seen another 99%er M1897 Trenchgun. I sold that one for $13,000. BTW, which Tom D. are you? I am getting on with CRS. Thanks, Big Larry
