What is the serial number of the gun you are referring to ?

Based on my research, Winchester manufactured a total of 34,179 Model 1893 shotguns before it was replaced with the Model 1897. Of that number 96.83% were standard Field grade guns, followed by 1.88% of them being Riot Guns. There were 439 deluxe grade (Fancy, Trap, and Pigeon grade) guns manufactured, which accounted for just 1.28% of the total Model 1893 production. If you believe that you have one of the fancy grade guns, it is imperative that you obtain a Cody Firearms Museum factory letter authenticating it.
