I have been trying to contact someone at Simmons in reference to obtaining any information they may have on my 1939 heavy duck, serial # 807777 as there is a Simmons Kansas City Missouri VR on this 30” barrel. No one answers any of my emails so I’m unsure if they even offer the service of reviewing any records they may have. Anyone here have any further information concerning Simmons and their past record keeping? Thanks, Larry

I am never all that successful at emails, either. I call people. You might try that. Good luck.
My bet is they did 100 of thousands and probably did not keep that kind of details on all those guns they worked on.they are still putting them on today had a 30 in 20 ga barrel done a couple months back it was under 300 dollars in the white. Like 260 bucks and I picked it up.

I concur 100% Simmons has ben around a very long time and worked pretty closely with the Winchester factory for vent ribs.
They were a very popular choice to have a rib added thus the offset or non offset proof mark evidence we have to go on today. Many an original gun could be worth more were it not wearing a Simmons rib. The Simmons rib makes a collector a shooter.
