Hi All

This post is related to a Model 12, 20 gauge, 28″ barrel, with serial no. 1239XXX (not sure why people blank out the last digits of the serial no., but since most people do, I am as well). I have attached photos from various angles.

Based on my research using Madis’s The Winchester Book, the 41st Edition of Blue Book of Gun Values, the 2020 Standard Catalogue of Firearms, google searches, and searches on this forum, I believe the following to be correct:

Model 12
Field Grade
Mfg: 1949
28″ inch barrel
5 3/4″ checkered forearm and matching checkered stock (likely purchased as an original factory upgrade?)

There are no pigeon markings, and no stamps that indicate it is anything other than standard or field grade variant.

I would be very grateful if someone could verify the above based on the photos or let me know if I have to look for something else to verify anything
