No, you cannot. Your 1924 production Model 12 16-ga was factory chambered for a 2-9/16″ maximum length shell. That stated, many of them were later opened up to safely shoot a 2-3/4″ shell. I recommend having it measured to determine if it still has its original chamber length or if it has been opened (reamed) to accept the longer shell length.
