Need some help identifying a Winchester model 97 2 3/4 in serial # 946065 E 449450. I can’t seem to match this # with any reference guides. Any help would be appreciated. Also I tried to post some pics but maybe I’m not allowed since it’s my first post.

Welcome, a guest you can’t post picture directly to the forum, you need to post a link to a host site or something of that nature. You could also email them to a member and the can post them for you.

The reason you are unable to match it with anything is because you have a barrel assembly from a 1942 production Model 97 shotgun installed on a 1909 production Model 1897 receiver.  In simple terms, it is a mismatched parts gun.  As a Guest on the WACA website, you can only post a URL link to a photo hosting website.
