I’ve been waiting quite a while to pick up one of these at a decent price. Finally found a nice condition one that was not advertised properly. It was advertised as a model 12, 32″ barrel, solid rib. They forgot to mention Heavy duck with 3″ chamber.
I have its twin and similar circumstances. 4 months ago could not attend an auction that I never miss. He tells me do I want to put an absentee on it and a couple other Winchesters.Sure, 550.00 , it looks ok with the poor photos. The rest is history, and oh did I luck out!
I paid a little more for mine but not by much. Really happy with it, condition was better than described and the photo’s certainly did not do it any justice. The metal is a strong 85% and the wood is excellent retaining all the original finish with no nicks or dings. Shot 5 clay birds with it from the handicap line and smoked 5-5. That pattern stays tight quite a ways out.

Good eye! And yes, a Model 12 with a full choke will certainly smoke a clay target almost all the way to the stake. Congrats on your bucket list gun!
