Nice looking Model 12.  For 200.00 I think it was a great purchase.

At that price as long as you were not pointing the gun at the seller………it’s all good.Laugh I’m one that recommends giving these old 30″ full choke field guns new life as a home defense gun. Winchester made over 2 million model 12’s and many languish on shop shelves. Please note, I am talking “run of the mill” M12 guns. Cut a graded gun? Only if you wish the townspeople with fire and pitchforks at your gate. One can do much worse in the HD gun Dept. M12 has great capacity, smooth and excellent pump action, and it takes down too. Yes the old M12’s will slam fire if you so desire. The modern “Browning” clone M12’s have a trigger group with disconnector, new repro M12’s should not slam fire.
