Some years ago I purchased a box of new W-W 38-55 brass at a gun show. I just dug it out of storage and discovered that it all the brass has been resized to 32-40. What a surprise. I do not own a 32-40, but could use 38-55 cases. Any suggestions on the best way to reforming them back to 38-55? Is this possible? Or perhaps find someone who would like to trade? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. RDB

I prefer correct headstamps on cartridges whenever possible as I load for 38-55, 32-40, 32 Spl and 30WCF; all can be made from 38-55 brass. If you can expand the case mouth to accept a light .38-55 bullet you may be able to fire form them back to near the correct dimensions with a light powder charge. The 32-40 cases could also be resized and fire formed to 30 WCF or 32 Spl if you need brass for those cartridges.
