LeRoy has for sale three consecutive serial number 73 rifles. Nice looking guns in similar condition and configuration, kept together all these years, rare and neat. After “Lunch with a friend” it would be great to take all three guns on a deer hunt. Lets say three brothers or a father and his two sons or daughters. Keep the guns together for another 100 years. Hard to imagine how three rifles have stayed together all these years through several generations.

Very tempting, merely for the “unusualness” of the set, all having identical specs.  Provenance, where ar’t thou?

As expensive as LeRoy Merz tends to be, I think an asking price of $12,750 for these three, given their condition and the extreme rarity of having 3 sequential serial numbers…doesn’t seem too far out of line.

I was thinking that as well. Cody letter seems to provide the provenance I’d need but these rifles appear to be worth the asking price on their individual merits. My finances suck at the moment or I’d be calling Mr. Mertz to make an offer.

I want them !!!    I was curious as to what the general feeling here is price wise on three all orig consec 73’s in that condition. 12.75k really does seem pretty reasonable. Think about it! Even a consec pair in this condition would fetch a deceit premium over a single rifle but three of them! What would one of these be worth by itself?

steelslide, I think individually, $3700 each. The fact that they have been together since new adds a premium, you do not see triples in antique guns. Adopt the Triplets and keep them together for another 127 years. T/R

I see LeRoy has “sale pending” on the Triplets. T/R
