Got 29 rounds with EPPS HEADSTAMP. Anyone know who made the brass?  No caliber marking on headstamp–Thanks Bill

 

He is dead  Ellwood Epps–had brass made by various fabricators..

No help with that brass.  I just inherited some Starline .45-90 brass which is 2.4 inches long.  I guess I now need to add a .45-90 WCF 1886 to the stable.  Smile

You’d like shooting the 45-90.  It does not hit you as hard as a 45-70 with the heavier bullets.

Chuck, I even have the bullet mold already.  The .45-90 WCF uses the same 300 grain bullet as the .45-60 WCF.  One mold is good for both of these.  Of course that 300 grain bullet was also loaded in .45-70’s over the years too.  A versatile bullet indeed.
