I have my fathers Model 69 that he purchased in the early 1930’s still in great shape, needs bluing but shoots great way more accurate then my Ruger 10/20. Absolutely love shooting it.

What ever you do, do not have it reblued. You will spend more $$$ having it refinished than the rifle would ever be worth.  Simply keep it clean and lightly oiled, and shoot the heck out of it.

I still have the Model 69 that my mother shot with when she was a girl. In my teen years, I bagged countless Snowshoe Hares with it. I still take it out sometime, but it has developed a real hair trigger and needs the sear built up a bit to solve that problem.
