Manufactured circa 2000’s, this gun features a custom serial number and was given to Patrick Wayne, son of John Wayne. Standard markings on the 18-1/2″ barrel with gold washed blade front sight and carbine rear ladder. Barrel is high polish blued with the frame having a coin finish. Left side features two portraits of “The Duke” with “1907 JOHN WAYNE AMERICAN 2007” and a scroll engraved background. The right side shows another portrait of Wayne with “COURAGE STRENGTH GRIT” as well as “JOHN WAYNE/JW/CENTENNIAL” with a scroll background. Large loop lever has a coin finish. Blued hammer, trigger, butt plate and saddle ring. Coin washed bands. Tang safety. Silver coin set in the right side of the butt in remembrance of Mr. Wayne. Smooth finish oil wood stock and forearm. Includes lock, manual, serial matching box, and signed letter from Patrick Wayne confirming his prior ownership. CONDITION: Outstanding with 99% finish remaining. Wood is excellent as well. Bore is bright and crisp. Looks to be unfired and handled minimally. Hang tag still attached. Box and sleeve are excellent. CALIBER: .44-40. FFL STATUS: Modern. S/N: JWF3HIGHGR.

A modern commemorative given to Patrick Wayne?  Your attachments are too small to read.  There may be some added value if the provenance can be proven?

I believe there is a group of Patrick Wayne’s guns coming up at auction.  I don’t remember which auction company.   I believe this is one of the items
