Has anyone used the Jamison .45 – 60 ammo in an original Winchester 1876? The Jamison box on my internet search states 300 grain, 1200 feet per second, not certain about pressures. Any information and handload data recipes for smokeless powder in an original 1876 would be appreciated.

“This load is meant to replicate old/original ballistic performance of the now obsolete cartridge. Sold in a 20rd. box. This ammunition is loaded with smokeless powder and should only be used in firearms suitable for smokeless loads.”
I can’t remember the brand, perhaps Buffalo Bore, of 45-70 which comes with the warning that it should only be shot through modern replicas.
Therefore, I would call Jameson and ask them if no one here can clarify.
