Hello,
I’ve never owned a Winchester but have the opportunity to purchase the Subject rifle. I’m finding so many way different opinions and values online so I thought I would ask here. Do these rifles increase in value over the years? This rifle looks like it’s in good condition (no rust, no real dings in the wood), and will be 100 years old next year. What do you estimate this to be worth? It’s initial selling price is $2,000-$3,000. The owner was a collector but passed unexpectedly and the family doesn’t know guns. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello Chris,
We need to see clear detailed pictures of the Model 92 you are inquiring about so that we can evaluate and assess it. Values vary greatly because Winchester manufactured many different variations and configurations of the Model 1892/92. The graded condition of the gun also has a significant influence on the value of the gun.
All “original” condition Winchesters have value, and should continue to increase in value.

Good morning Chris,
If you will send me several images of the rifle I will be happy to help you. I have looked at more than 19,000 individual Model 1892 rifles while working on a research survey of them and will have a pretty good idea of a reasonable value.
