Same question, just bought a model 70 with serial number G2546248 on the right side. Engraved in hand on the bolt is G248. Any information would be greatly appreciated?

You have a late production U.S. Repeating Arms Company (USRACo) manufactured Model 70. We (WACA) do not have any information for your rifle.  The USRACo ceased to exist when their parent company Fabrique Nationale (FN Herstal) shut them down in March of 2006.
