OnlineHello, I have acquired four pre 64 Model 70 bolt action rifles from the death of a family member. I noticed one of the Winchester Model 70 transition rifles 1947 appears to have either a stainless steel trigger or for some reason and unblued trigger. This is a 30/06 clover tang rifle.
First question is: Did Winchester have and used stainless steel triggers for any reason? The trigger appears all original as I compared it to the other three rifles just not finished or it is stainless steel.
Thank-you for your thoughts.

OfflineHi Sureshot-
To my knowledge Winchester only used two different triggers in the manufacture of the pre-64 M70. The standard trigger and the target trigger, which differed only in the dimensions of the sear engagement notch. Both were steel and both were blued…
This is the standard trigger:

Anything else is altered or aftermarket…
Just my take,
