I imagine Seewin can answer your question, given a bit more information.
I know that the action screw on the Winchester 52 rifles changed over time. The Pre-A and A Models used a smaller diameter screw than the B Models. I don’t recall what the 52-C (D & E) used.
So to answer your question, Seewin will probably need to know which 52 you have.

Thank you for the reply. The rifle belongs to a customer of mine and I’m trying to help him get the proper screws. I have asked him to send me the serial # to help narrow it down.
To answer your question, I need to know what model 52 (or s/n), and which screw, front or rear. Early rifles prior to the B model only had 1 screw which was located at the front of the receiver. The pitch on it is .22-36 TPI. On B and later models, there were 2 receiver screws. The previous model’s screw was moved to the rear location and the thread was changed on the front screw to a 1/4-32. Both are specials.
