Is there such an animal as a Winchester Commemorative for “Indian River County, Florida”? A friend is trying to sell one for a friend of his.
I saw a few pictures of it and the engraving is enhanced by 24 K and it is in .45 Colt. Asking price is $3500. Never have seen one and never
heard of one before. Is there such a beast and what would be a ballpark on the value? Unfired and come with a wooden presentation box.
It is highly unlikely that Winchester manufactured it. More than likely it was embellished after the fact. There were/are several different entities that specialize it upgrading plain guns and selling them as “Limited Edition” pieces.
