That is a Winchester 97B front sight and a 96B rear sight. That sight combinationwas used on the Model 69 G6901R. The Model 68 used a 96A rear sight which is similar but has a fore-point.

It is the no. 96 peep sight. It is the same type as on the model 68. When in about 8/43 the order came down to offer the 96 on the 67, it was the end of the 68 since it because redundant. This sight was also offered one the model 69. There are two versions of the 96, a & b, with the b being slightly shorter than the a. I have a nice 69 with the sight dovetail to the rear of the receiver, bringing the peep sight closer to the eye. This is where they used the shorter version.
The front sight is the standard 97b hooded front sight used on the 67, 68, and 69. The ” spring” hold the ramp down and provides a mounting place for the hood.

Vince,
The 96B was only used on the Model 69. The 67 and 68 both used the 96A (with the forepoint). The OP’s rear 96B is not the same as used on the Model 68.
Based on where the barrel proof is located it looks like the rifle originally had the correct 96A but has been replaced by a 96B. The proof mark is usually located at the tip of the point on a 96A.
Hope that makes sense.

Bill,
Want to swap? I have the correct sight for yours, and need the correct one on mine. Your B for my A? PM me if interested, if not no biggie.
