Inherited this rifle from one of my uncles last year. I wanted a Cody letter for it, but it’s just a bit too new. It’s an early 1910s production (from what I gather) rifle chambered in .32 Win Spl, and seems to be a “semi-deluxe” optioned rifle. Is there anything else that stands out on this rifle? I’ve tried to find a similar rifle online and haven’t seen one exactly like this one.
Hello,
What is the serial number (that will tell us when it was manufactured). In regards to the variation/configuration, it is a “Semi-deluxe” Sporting Rifle. Based on the information I have compiled in the research survey I am conducting for the Model 1894, approximately 5% of the “rifle” production was the semi-deluxe variation. The estimated total production number is something very close to 29,000.

That makes it a 1912 production rifle. I have serial number 548755 in the survey that is identical to your rifle except for it being a Take Down versus a Solid frame.

Awesome. Thank you very much for the information. I’m not sure how your surveys work, but feel free to add this one to the list. If you need the full serial number, it’s 548969.
