Well I can’t figure out how to post the screenshot of the search I found. But what it tells me is that the serial number 550,240 is a 1911 saddle ring carbine, round barrel. Q but the rifle I have is not a saddle ring and it’s got the 20 inch octagon barrel.

The search information you found is incorrect. Model 1892 s/n 550240 was manufactured in July 1910.
