Burt H.;
I’m trying to download photos of my ’76 Short Rifle with the Special Sights. Did I Get them to the WACA sight? It said the “Upload Successful” on all 6 PDF’s. I hope it worked, although I’m not sure more than one did, for when I Log Out the attachments do not show up on the thread. When I log back in, they’re back and can be opened by me. I’m giving up at this point. Too complicated, I QUIT! Burt, Phone # 9173598858. HELP!!!
Apache
Hello Apache, have been gone a while . Looking through 76 stuff on here , ( catching up) and got a look at your rare Winchester sight and that old 40/60 you have. Have to say that is one good looking sight and rifle. Be mine I’d be shooting it! My offer still stands . if you decide to shoot the old 40/60 . I would be glad to help you out. May even spare a few rounds for the cause. Thanks for the pictures . ,,,,DT Ron.
How Do, Dusty Texian;
As of yet I haven’t fired my Winchester 1876, but I’ve picked up an original loading tool, an original 40-60 WCF bullet mold, a can of Pyrodex rifle powder in FFg. I need some brass cases though. I’m now almost ready for a small Black Bear or a Zombie attack. Calling yourself “Dusty Texian” must mean you hail from West Texas. Is that so? I, calling myself the Apache indicates my “Dry Arizona, Shoot em in the back” heritage. When asked “why did you shoot him in the back?”, why of course in the best Arizona tradition I reply, “I shot him in the back because that’s the way he was facing at the time, why else.” Take care of yourself down on the Border, Tex.

Sounds like you are on your way to shooting the 40/60 Apache. The name is a long story Nickname ,from when I was a Kid! I keep a house in Jefferson Co. Mason Co. and Brewster Co. Tx. I live at all three places pending on , what needs doing. Thanks for the heads up about back shooting , I’ll be more carefull next time I visit your fine State. Keep your eyes on the Skyline .,,,DT
Tex;
No need to be a worrin bout bein “Back Shot” by me out here in Az. Too hard to git certridges fer the ’76. Anyways, I always got along with Texicans , an could never figure out why some folks kain’t. Ifin you’re ever out this way give a “Hello the House”. You kin tie yer mule out back. Where I am, ain’t no need ta watch the Sky-Line. I’ll know you’re a comin from a fer piece off. Take care Texian.
