Question. Should the dust cover on the above open and close when the lever is cycled?

If not, would that be an easy fix for a knowledgeable gunsmith?

Thanks.

It will only open, you have to manually close it. If it does not open then there is a problem with the extractor or the part that is screwed to the front of the dust cover.

Bob, thank-you for your reply. The dust cover does open when cycled. Good to know you have to manually close it and saves me from having to take it in for repair!

Richard.
