I saw these two Winchesters claimed to be attributed to the well known General Nelson Miles. It will be interesting to see what might come to light about these two specimens.

Okay I guess I’ll comment on these, as I’m not impressed with the statement that they are attributed to a well known General who had ties to the demise of Geronimo, and many other accolades in his career. Without several pieces of documentation, verifying the provenance to these pieces, I find it difficult to go after something like this based solely on assumption, and having a few books with the Generals name on them as a reference to these Winchesters! IMHO!

I didn’t have the 73 in my research but to me it looks like it was cut down from 24″.
