That is a very tasteful display and it looks very nice. As you can tell from my signature I do have some guns on display. The guns outnumber the safes so they have to be. I don’t really have the space to display a single gun in that manor but I have several vintage glass cases that hold some guns and assorted stuff. Nearly all my Winchesters Lever Guns are locked up, some are too long for the safes unless I remove the top shelf and that would present another situation for my handguns. It is a shame we cant have the guns out to look at and enjoy.Below are some of my displays for M1 Carbines, Bayonets and Some very unusual US Military ammo.
THIS ALL STARTED WITH JUST ONE GUN!

Very nice display, Kevin.
A friend built a display rack that attractively frames any rifle I care to display. At the moment it holds my “IF” rifle. This 1894 has a few interesting features including the search form tucked into the display. The ledger at Cody describes an almost totally different rifle for this serial number. I named this rifle while discussing it with Bert at the 2017 Cody show.

My answer is No also. Mostly because i don’t have a original 1873 to display. Yours is a real beaut. Do you take it out to shoot it much?
No, I don’t shoot this one as it’s in too good original condition for me to be comfortable shooting it. I do shoot some I own.
Winchester Model 1873 44-40 circa 1886
That is a very attractive display of a very nice 1873. I only have a few Winchesters and I keep them in a safe because of “fear” of losing them. I do have some “stuff” out. I’ll try a photo of my swords. Maybe a photo of a Plains Rifle. (Not good at photos here). I could only get half of the Plains Rifle in the photo and I’m too lazy to do another!

Well done, Keith! I collect Winchesters because I enjoy looking at, hunting with and shooting them. I can’t always be at the range or in the field but I like to have one on display so I don’t have to dig one out of the safe to enjoy it.

I was referring to your excellent displays, Keith! I have mostly “stuff” on display but I won’t let fear of loss keep me from displaying a Winchester.

Here’s a display I put together some time ago to display my model 1873 44-40 in my Gun/Knife room.Does anyone else display your Winchesters?
Beautiful! I guess I need to get a Gun/Knife room first?
Thanks for the photos.

Walter,
The secret to displaying guns, dead deer heads, fish and turkeys in the living room is no wife. If I had a wife everything would be displayed in the basement and I wouldn’t have money to spend on guns. It would be spent on new carpet and kitchen appliances every 5 years.

Agreed. No deer heads or fish but a few boar heads made it to my walls. Let’s just say it has a polarizing effect.Very nice loading tool and mould display, Bob!
