has anyone heard tell of a 9422 made in the 1970’s, that was smoothbore, for shot only?

Are you referring to the Model 9410 made to fire 410 shotgun ammo?

no. a friend of mine saw a gun at a gunshow last weekend that was a 9422 smoothbore. he didn’t see if it was marked ‘for shot only’. interesting if it was a custom shop gun. not so much if it was done in a basement.

Yes , someone was offering 9422 smooth bore. It was done to have it on a shotgun licence and the barrel was increased to be 24″ or above. This was for UK use. Some how it has very little range, if fired shots. In this case using .22 L would be illegal.
