Dane,
They are relatively common, especially in the early production years. Approximately 50% of the 38 & 44 WCF Model 1885 rifles were high-walls. I own a very late production (1917) special order high-wall in 38 WCF that has the Schuetzen DST, and target sights.

Bert, I need some education – what is a Schuetzen DST? Thank you, Angel
Angel,
"DST" = double set trigger, and it was the third type of set trigger that Winchester introduced for the Model 1885. It was specifically made for the Schuetzen rifles, but it could be special ordered on any high-wall rifle (for $6 extra).
The Schuetzen DST is the wide spaced double trigger with the set screw centered between the two triggers.
This is an example of one that was special ordered on a Special Single Shot Rifle – http://www.icollector.com/Winchester-Model-1885-High-Wall-Schuetzen-Rifle_i14554016

Bert, what is your opinion of this High Wall. The following is the description posted by the seller: Custom rifle by Schuetzen Gun Co. Not factory Winchester. Beautiful gun with its rare high-wall falling block action and gorgeous walnut stock. Checkered steel butt with peak widows. Includes dies. No case. I believe it’s a loser considering the description states "Custom rifle by Schuetzen Gun Co. Not factory Winchester"
Thank you, Angel

That is not the rifle that Angel was referring to, and it is over priced in my opinion. It is just a plain Jane rifle that has been restocked and rebarreled.

You guys are so funny. Listen it’s Angel not Angle There is an old timer that I keep in contact with and he also spells my name incorrectly. I also receive mail with Anger as my first name which is pretty cool and also Miss or Mrs and I’m neither. It’s Mr. 😀
Sorry about that.

Sorry, it was a typo on my part (I corrected it).
The rifle you sent me the link to in your PM is not the same as this one? Which one are you actually asking about?

Angel sent me a PM with a link to a different rifle, which is why I made the previous comment. I too am now confused ❓
