I recently purchased a pre-war Model 70 that’s in excellent condition and nearly bone stock, except for an aftermarket safety lever. I’d like to return the rifle to original condition by replacing the aftermarket safety with an original part. Unfortunately, I’ve scrubbed the Internet for one and came up empty-handed. Regular sources like Numrich and Ebay produced negative results. Can anyone direct me to a source for a pre-war safety? Thanks in advance.

Hello again Fairlane66!
Just a caveat pinging on the term “aftermarket” safety. Worthwhile to ascertain the full extent of any alterations which may have been made. The original lever may no longer be a drop in replacement and/or function properly.

I’m not sure how to post a link but this appears to be what your looking for, a pre war saftey lever. I’m not affiliated with it or the seller, just read you post and was on e-bay looking for a 22 hornet barrel. Good luck.
