This one hammered at $14,000 before the buyer’s premium, sales tax, and shipping is figured in.  No mention, of course, of the imperfection at the muzzle and no photograph included in the description.

Edit:  Price including buyer’s premium but no additional fees, such as sales tax and shipping, was $16,100.

Isn’t what RIA is smoking, but the bidders; RIA (questions of professional ethics aside) can’t be held responsible for the insanity of them

RIA is planning to open an auction house in Texas in a year or two. So you guys from Texas start saving your money. At the present rate guns are inflating what will that 1892 cost in 2023 in Texas? T/R

To paraphrase the late George Madis, these buyers didn’t pay too much, they bought too early.  Crikey!

I call myself a collector as it sounds better than hoarder

I suppose this all is better than the opposite predictions, which seemed to abound pre Covid.  As in who will be left to collect all this stuff when the current generation of collectors is gone, this being a generation born not much after WWII, and earlier.

 Yes it does!

I think the investor crowd is back, but I don’t know for how long. Unless they own an auction company it will be painful when they sell. T/R
