Hello, I’m trying to obtain a realistic value on a WCF 1894 rifle. In trying to research myself, I instantly found variations in manufacturing dates depending on source or web-site. In reading through discussion post I’m only slightly more confused than when I started. Appears some or any modifications devalue the rifle and as to what is acceptable condition I need some experts for sure. WACA appears to have a trove of info and friendly folks in the forums. I was hoping to post some photos and hear from you on what you see. If tis is not the correct place for this please advise. Thanks in advance…

Hello Steve,
Your post is perfectly fine.
The date of manufacture for your Model 94 Carbine was March 1939, and the pictures you provided in the URL show that the gun is in excellent (original) condition with no aftermarket alterations or modifications.
In regard to the value, I have seen similar pre-WW II Model 94 Carbines sell for $2,000 – $2,500 in the same condition.
