Sorry Big Larry,But Bill’s 73 has been spoken for and will be coming home to a WACA member….. ME!
After hearing you talk about how fun it is to shoot, I can’t wait to get it home and start plinking!
What ammo are you using in yours?
Manuel
CCI target shorts and CCI CB shorts. They work great and are very accurate. Just hard to find sometimes. Don’t use the high velocity shorts. The rifle is not rifled for them and you may be disappointed. High velocity does not shoot well in my 1926 M56 22 short either. Have fun. Big Larry

I’ll have to run by the basspro shop and pick up a brick or two. Thanks! I’ll report back on how it shoots
Brick or two? They come in 100 rd. plastic boxes generally for about $12 each. Gone are the cheap 22 days. I bought all they had at our new, local, Sportsmans whse. They recently got a new order in, but I have other commitments so I was not able to add to my ammo pile. The shorts are a hot commodity right now. Fortunately, most of the ammo was target and CB types. I did get one box of HV hollow points by accident, but kept them anyway. No plans to shoot them as I am not a hunter and they don’t have the accuracy of the target type in the older rifles. You will be amazed at the accuracy of your new M1873 22. No, you won’t get quarter size groups at 50 yards, but they will all hold in the 10 ring on a standard 50 yard target. Benched, of course. Anxious to get a report on your new rifle, and BTW, it will letter. I plan to letter mine ASAP. Mine was PR’d in 1889. Big Larry
