The checkering pattern doesn’t look quite right on the underside of the butt stock. Am I mistaken?

Don,
There is more wrong with it than what you mention… specifically, there is no border cut on sections of the checkering. Additionally, the lines per inch is a bit too coarse.

The entire checkering pattern doesn’t look factory correct, especially on the underside of the butt stock. And there appears to be pitting on the barrel on the left side with bluing in the pits.
