I apologize in advance for my ignorance, but I don’t have a M1895 in my collection and have been keeping an eye out for a reasonable specimen. I’ve read a lot about the Russian Contract M1895’s but most have been in musket configuration.
I’ve come across a listing for a Russian Contract M1895 rifle that I might be interested in. There’s not a lot of info and I’ve requested more pictures, but I’m curious about the breakdown of Russian configurations.
- Winchester M1895 ”Russian Contract Rifle” in 7.62mm
- Fitted clip guides on the top of the receiver
- Barrel measures 27-1/2”
- SN366540 (1916)
Curious if anyone has any comments/things to be aware of/value range.
Again, I’ve requested more info and specifics, but any guidance is appreciated.
Thanks.

Steve,I can’t see the Model 1895 in question… but again, all of the Russian contract Model 1895s were Muskets.
