Does anyone know if Uberti toggle links will fit and operate properly in an original Henry?  If so, are they avaiable as parts from the manufacturer?

Thanks………..

Uberti replica parts are available but I don’t know if they are a match for original Winchester specimens.  It is my understanding that Uberti is the only foreign manufacturer to use English measurements, rather than metric, and their screws usually are interchangeable with Winchester’s, but I don’t know about the parts themselves.

Don’t believe so, since the Ubeti is set up for the longer 44WCF and 45 Colt COL. I shoot a Henry Uberti a lot and converted it to shoot 44 Russian, but the receiver is longer than original Henrys.

Rick,

A 66 toggle might work.

the links can be custom made by several of the link makers working on the Uberti rifles, if you can supply the damaged ones or have measurements form a gunsmith.

Rick

If you have the originals, new ones can be made.

You may also try contacting the Henry Arms Co, I understand that they are making a exact reproduction of the old Henrys

Rick,

Are you missing the original toggle links?

Maverick:

The gun has the links but one of them has been broken and welded which effects the action and head space when the action is closed.  Don’t know if they are original Henry parts or later replacements…………..

Rick

Affects headspace how? Too much, too little?

New links can be made, longer or shorter if needed,

I’m not sure.  The gun is not mine and I don’t have it in hand.  Just trying to help a friend……

I’m curious as to why the headspace is a problem with the repaired links?  Is your friend trying to shoot 44 Rimfires?  If the intent is to keep the Henry all original, seems to me that undoing the weld and re-welding the subject link to correct specs would solve the problem.

Just ran across this on another forum, S&W, of all places.

“dont know about henry but uberti has ample aftermarket parts available, such as short stroke kits and lighter springs and carrier, different sight options etc.
they’re not necessary ,until you compare your stock rifle with a slicked up one”
